I would like to say congrats to Mike Nagel from Long Island, New York for his recent acheavement.
Mike runs a 496 chevy that had been running a 950cfm 4150 style carb and had a personal best of 10.61 in a nearly 4000# ride.
I recently did a 1050cfm 4500style Dominator for Mike and this weekend was his first trip back to the track.
He set a NEW personal best ET of 9.97 and the only change he made was the carburetor.
Yes you read that right, 10.61 to a 9.97 with nothing more than a carburetor change.....thats a .64 improvement by switching to E85.
Mike Dialed his car a 9.97 and ran a 9.97 with a .511 reaction time...which was good enough to give him a win over a dragster and put him into second round.
second round wasnt so good, mechanical starter failure kept him from making the call.....
Congrats Mike and next time you will get them

Congrats to Jay March, the driver of the bootlegger jeep that can be found on my web page,
Jay raced through 100' x 3-4' of MUD in 3.40 seconds....that jeep was flat out moving and screamed all the way through.
If you have never seen mud chunks the size of tennis balls fly 100' in the air, you need to go see this in person sometime......awsome!
the trucks shoot the mud in the air then if they are lucky they get out of the way before it comes back down.......some are not so lucky and get coated in a mud blanket..
Jay was racing some tough compition that came from all over missouri...and a 5th place out of 25+ pit racers was a good feat in its own right.
I never knew a small block chrysler could sound so sweet.....congrats....let me know when your season starts again.

Was at Norwalk's Summit motor sports park this past weekend for the Olds Power Nationals. Got around to trying my 750 street Hp Mark had coverted for me this spring. Yeah it is a vaccum secondary. It works great and was deadly. In 7 rounds of Pro class eliminations, my car went 5 runs in a row 6.74 to the 1/8 mile on the1/4. Got beat in the final round by .010. Here are the 1/8 times for all 7 rounds.

Recaping the year we had 5 wins several r/u's and more top 8 than I can count . We finally got the e-85 figured out for our car . Mark's tune up was as close as possible without touching the car . The only thing that effected the car was humidity . Mark thanks for the great carb set-up and the customer support .

Dwight how did you find the effects of humidity? What tuning changes were needed? Gets very humid over here in northern Australia leading up to christmas,
